BIOGRAPHY
ELIZABETH BALCOMB
Elizabeth Balcomb matriculated from Pietermaritzburg Girls High School in 1994 and studied Nature Conservation at Saasveld Forestry College (now the Nelson Mandela Forestry College) where she received her diploma in 1998. Afterwards she spent ten years working in environmental education.
In 2013 Balcomb, a self-taught artist, was invited to South Korea to the Mosan Museum along with Christiaan Diedericks to represent South Africa. She went on to win the Sasol New Signatures award in 2014 and had her first solo exhibition in 2015.
Her work can be found in the Everard Read Galleries in Franschhoek and Johannesburg, and the Knysna Fine Art Gallery. She is currently working towards another Solo Exhibition.
